Terlipressin is an analogue of vasopressin used as a vasoactive drug in the management of hypotension. It has been found to be effective when norepinephrine does not help.

Indications for use include:

• Esophageal varices.
• Norepinephrine-resistant septic shock.
• Hepatorenal syndrome.
